Learn about the culture, society, mythology, and laws of ancient Ireland in these online video courses!
This is great, love that I can do this at my own pace (especially considering I'm picking this back up after over a year...)
Clear and well researched. Well-spoken and offers high value. Delighted this exists.
I appreciate its essential content, its easy style. This course is an imperative study for reapplication in various court/legal systems such as family court and civil court. The essence of Brehon Law could very well be in the genetic structure of all Celts. Great work.
The course is well-designed, engaging, and inspiring. I learnt so much for which I am deeply grateful!
Very informative and enthusiastically delivered. Definitely what I expected and more.
Amazing course that gives a clear and concise overview of the ancient laws of early and medieval Ireland, definitely recommend this to anyone interested in Irish history or early law systems of the past. The resources too that are provided are incredible. Can't wait to continue Mr. Flanagan's courses on Ireland!
Makes history come alive! Based on in-depth research with constant attention to source material, but course also presents those facts in a way that illustrates how they affected the lives and culture of the people. I live in Arizona, so far from the home of my Irish ancestors. This class helps me understand what it means to be Irish. It connects me with my roots. I purchased the entire set, doing the culture one first, and can’t wait to begin the next one, Mythology.
The course has helped me massively towards my MA degree dissertation. The organisation and explanation of the texts is excellent.
Excellent as always! So much information, great lectures and visuals, plus extras and great resources!
The quality of the content provided and research done here is absolutely extraordinary, and I have been learning quite a bit. Outside of that, the class instructor knows his stuff, very well informed, and seems to reference all the right people. So thank you for all you have put together
Good delivery. Hearing the correct pronunciation of names is a bonus. Good introduction which has encouraged me to learn more.
Great course, recommend it to all. The Brehon Laws appear very similar to Natural Law, laws based on morality and truth, some lessons could be learned today...
I really enjoyed this course. It has helped broaden my mind & opened up a lot of information that I did not know about. I am part Irish on my dad's side & I enjoy learning all I can about Ireland & its people & cultures. Thank You Kevin for doing an amazing job with this course.
A friend suggested taking the course and I agreed. I have Scottish ancestry and so the notion of Celtic mythology is interesting to me.
I thought I had a fairly good grasp of the Brehon legal structure before, but your depth of knowledge is impressive! I'm only a few videos in and I've learned a lot already.
I really enjoyed this course. I’m Australian with Irish Ancestry, and I was eager to learn about their Irish history. I’m totally intrigued, and want to know more about the Brehon Law, so I’ve enrolled in that course also. I resonated with the ideology and customs of ancient Ireland, under this law. Look forward to exploring it on a deeper level.
Fantastic and enjoyable course. I learned so much. Irish mythology is a fascinating subject to study. Thank you, Mr. Flanagan!
It is very focused and easy to follow.
Clear speaker. Good speaking style. Entertaining.
Great detail of history and mythology converging, and great references.
This course has been very interesting and really giving the background on Brehon Law. I look forward to taking more courses and would recommend this course to others that are interested in learning about Ireland and its customs. Hopefully Brehon Law will come back and the penal system will be revised.
Instructor seems very knowledgeable about the subject, and presents it in a clear and concise manner.
Very, very educational and enjoyable!
Surprisingly good. This course expresses the ancient ‘Gaelic’ traditions faithfully and with academic rigour.
A gem! When you are interested in ancient Irish culture it is hard to find works that match the interest. This class is a ray of light for those seeking knowledge of ancient Ireland in a vast darkness.
Taught in a way that is engaging and simple to understand.
The Irish Mythology course is brilliantly laid out with a plethora of information. Highly recommend!
Yes, I'm a law student and very interested in the Brehon law so this is what I need to learn.
I've learned quite a lot from this course! It's so fascinating to see what history can tell us, the mysteries surrounding these ancient peoples. As one with Irish ancestry, I want to learn all I can about where I come from and hopefully put this knowledge to use in the future.
Surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the course content. I was very interested to learn about the laws of Ancient Ireland, and would like to study it on a deeper level in the future, thank you
Wonderful course delivered with passion.
Yes. Very interesting. Really informative. Extremely well structured. Very good Instructor. Deeply passionate about his subject.
Really well paced and presented for anyone interested in beginning an exploration of Irish culture.
